One of the top lucha libre stars of all time, El Hijo del Santo is the son of the legendary professional Mexican lucha libre wrestler, film star and Mexican folk hero, El Santo.
Other than his work as a wrestler, he is a political activist, the subject of a comic book, starred in three films, (the most recent being Infraterrestere in 2003) and appeared on the Mexican reality show Día de Perros. He was also the star of an animated series on the Mexican version of Cartoon Network, titled “Santo Contra Los Clones” (Santo vs. The Clones).

El Hijo del Santo
El Hijo del Santo was the only one of his father’s 10 children to become a professional wrestler. He began wrestling without his father’s consent in February 1982 as “El Korak” but he made his official debut as “El Hijo del Santo” in October of that year after he earned his college degree in Communication Science per his father’s request. He shares his father’s look, the silver mask, tights, cape, and moves.
He was featured in tons of memorable wars all over Mexico against the likes of Los Gringo’s Locos(Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr), Negro Casas, El Dandy, Hector Guerrero, Felino, Blue Demon Jr. ….etc.
El Hijo del Santo also managed to win multiple Championships in AAA, CMLL, UWA, WWA & currently holds the World Boxing Council’s “Wrestling” Championship.

Super Xtremo, the original El Vigote & SOMBRA are the first batch of luchadores who are currently confirmed for the event.
Super Xtremo is the former BSE Pro Suicide Six Pack & Tag Team Champion, Xtremo’s alter-identity. In honor to his respect to the lucha libre culture, Xtremo dawns his mask to compete in Lucha Libre bouts. In the past, Super Xtremo has competed in CHIKARA Pro’s annual “King of Trio’s Tournament” & “Young Lions Cup Tournament” and has teamed alongside Mexican legend, Blue Demon Jr. & Incognito.
El Vigote made his debut at Lucha VaVoom in Toronto, teaming up with Kobra Kai & El Fuego. After competing for various promotions across Quebec and Ontario, El Vigote passed on his persona to El Vigote Dos who competed for a shortwhile in BSE Pro. The original El Vigote looks to make an impact in his return to professional wrestling.
SOMBRA made his professional wrestling debut in 2003, competing all over Ontario, Quebec & Northern USA. The Canadian Luchadore was featured in multiple BSE Pro “Adrenaline Cup Tournaments” and competed in the first round of CHIKARA Pro’s “King of Trio’s Tournament”. Most recently, SOMBRA took on Lucha Libre legend, Blue Demon Jr., Incognito & Super Xtremo in a thrilling 6-man tag team match.

Amateur Wrestling Camp:
Squared Circle Training is offering a camp this summer for all current and interested amateur wrestlers. Saturday June 5th 2010 marked an important day in history as Tigers Wrestle Fest hit the Milton streets during its annual festival. While the street festival in Milton has been taking place every year for the past four years garnering over 25,000 visitors each year; this year that number nearly doubled with the addition of the Tigers Wrestle Fest. A wrestling festival with free admission, sponsorship proceeds going to support the Milton local hospital foundation and a professional wrestling demonstration is just a snap shot of what the spectators came out to see.
In keeping with the mantra of the Tiger Foundation of supporting health care and education, the proceeds of the event were donated to the Milton District Hospital Foundation. Even in it’s first year the event raised close to $35,000 to support the foundation. The money raised for the hospital will be used to help the hospital purchase essential medical equipment not covered by the Government. “This very generous and welcoming community is blessed with an abundance of talented, young amateur athletes from many fields of which wrestling is one part,” remarked an extremely happy Tiger Jr. “We are pleased that the local community had the opportunity to participate, see our best amateur athletes in action, while supporting the Milton District Hospital Foundation.”
Tigers Wrestle Fest was a vision of wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh, his son WWE Superstar Tiger Ali Singh and their good friend Troy Newton of Troy’s Diner in Milton. A festival within a festival to showcase local amateur athletes while promoting health and fitness. The full day event began with a free style wrestling demonstration by top local high school wrestlers followed by a CrossFit and boxing demonstration by Fire Power training and concluded with the main event of a 20 man over the top Battle Royal put on by Squared Circle Training. What a sweet victory for the town when Milton’s own son, former WWE Superstar Tiger Ali Singh emerged as the winner. This fierce match was Ali’s first return to wrestling in Canada since his last appearance for the WWE at the Roger’s Centre 10 years ago. In a touching moment Tiger Jeet Singh presented his son with the winning trophy for being the last man standing in the Battle Royal.
Not only did Miltonians and residents of the GTA come out in full force to see their favourite wrestlers Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh, but fans even traveled from all across Canada and some even flew in from India and Japan placing Milton on the wrestling community’s map. The South Asian community came out to in droves to see their community icons. Wrestler Sonjay Dutt to show his support for the community did not charge a single penny for his appearance and even payed funds from his own pocket to support the Tigers’ Inaugural event. “I can’t explain how touched we are,” recounted a visibly moved Tiger Jr. “The Tiger Foundation is all about supporting worthy causes anywhere on the planet; we don’t discriminate! We are extremely grateful to both the Milton residents and the South Asian community for helping us build the profile of our Foundation so we can continue to build awareness and support for deserving causes around the world.”

Downtown Milton Street Festival gets a shot in the arm:
Inaugural Tigers Wrestle Fest added to the line-up
Troy’s Diner to host series of grappling events all day Saturday June 5, 2010
MILTON, Ontario – Former World Champion professional wrestlers and local Walk of Fame inductees Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh today announced the establishment of the first annual Tigers Wrestle Fest, an amateur and professional wrestling-based fundraising demonstration that will coincide with this year’s Downtown Milton Street Festival.
Tigers Wrestle Fest is scheduled to take place on Saturday June 5, 2010, from noon to 7 p.m. in front of Troy’s Diner located at 295 Main Street East in downtown Milton. Admission is free.
Over 25,000 people attend Milton Street Festival annually and it has become a treasured event in its fourth year. Tigers Wrestle Fest 2010 is a wonderful new attraction that is expected to dramatically increase attendance and reach of this already popular event.
The event will feature the community’s top amateur high school grapplers demonstrating Free Style wrestling from noon to 4 p.m., followed by a demonstration of CrossFit and boxing by FirePower Training between 4 – 5 p.m. From 5 – 7 p.m. the event will culminate with a two hour exhibition of live professional wrestling by Ontario’s #1 independent wrestling promotion Maximum Pro Wrestling!
Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh will be on hand to sign autographs on specially-designed event t-shirts produced specifically for the event. The personally-autographed t-shirts will be sold for $20 each, with all proceeds going to Milton District Hospital Foundation. The monies raised will enable the hospital to purchase essential medical equipment that government funding does not cover.
“This very generous and welcoming community is blessed with an abundance of talented, young amateur athletes from many fields of endeavour, including wrestling,” explained Tiger Jr. “We are going to give local and area residents the opportunity to come out and see our best amateurs in action while also giving everyone the opportunity to help Milton District Hospital Foundation.”
